Thanks for the rec, I'll keep an eye out for it. Do you know if this was Russell's first book?

I understand it's the first in a series, but I'm not sure if it is his first ever. Somewhere in the author bio, acknowledgements I get the sense he has written other stuff previously. (My copy is a work so I can't check and verify at this moment.)
He has a website at www.sthomasrussell.com if I've remembered that correctly. It might have the answer for you.
