Yes, I hope for extremes. A mediocre rendition would be an insult to Austen and a terrible waste of an extremely funny idea.

There's another spoof or take-off of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE that I've been looking to read....PRIDE AND PROMISCUITY! I think it's available on Amazon, but I haven't gotten around to ordering it. Keep hoping to find it in a store somewhere.

On a different note, for those who are Naval Adventure (Hornblower, Jack Aubrey, Lord Ramage) fans, I'm reading a new one called UNDER ENEMY COLORS by S. Thomas Russell. In a nutshell, it's GOOD! (I do question a particular line regarding the time period and a reference to certain uniform accouterments, but...)

I understand it's the first in a series, but I'm not sure if it is his first ever. Somewhere in the author bio, acknowledgements I get the sense he has written other stuff previously. (My copy is a work so I can't check and verify at this moment.)
He has a website at www.sthomasrussell.com if I've remembered that correctly. It might have the answer for you.
